About Solbjerghjemmet

We are housed in Solbjerghjemmet, which is a station for newly arrived refugees in Frederiksberg Municipality. Therefore, Solbjerghjemmet has many other volunteers who organize excursions, women's cafés, a bicycle workshop and more for the benefit of the refugees. If you are interested in the working with refugees, you can join the Solbjerggruppe’s facebook group here.
We not only share premises with Solbjerg residents and users, but also participate in active cooperation with them. Interested refugees may appear every Wednesday and help with the packing or something else, and in return receive vegetables. In addition, we arrange communal meals that are open to both KBHFF members, refugees, and other volunteers who work with the refugees. You can read an article from Frederiksbergbladet about the cooperation between the food community and Solbjerghjemmet here.

The history of the department

From 2011-2014 we stayed at the Ecological Inspiration House at Allégade, just behind TV2 Lorry (read an article from the time in DØI here).
In 2014, we lived briefly in the basement of The Yellow Villa at Dirch Passers Allé before moving to an old train car in the Carlsberg City in 2015, which we shared with the city garden Ottilia’s Garden. When Carlsberg City terminated the contract with Ottilias Garden, we were unfortunately again homeless. The department had to shut down temporarily, while every corner of Frederiksberg was finely combed to find a suitable place. Finally, in September 2016, KBHFF Frederiksberg was able to reopen in the beautiful villa on Søndre Fasanvej 16.
Here are pictures from the Ecological Inspiration House, the Yellow Villa and the tram in Ottilias Garden.
